Digital Weighing Balance NL 7017 X /

(Miscellaneous Testing Equipments)

Description

Digital Weighing Balance utilises load cells which is highly accurate in weight measurements, crucial for ensuring precise quantities of materials, like sand, cement, and gravel. Their digital displays offers clear readings, eliminating errors common with analog scales, while their varied capacities accommodate the weighing need of diverse construction materials, from lightweight aggregates to heavy steel beams. Portable and durable, these balances can be easily transported to different locations on the construction site, enduring harsh environmental conditions with robust construction. Additionally, their tare functionality allows for accurate measurements by zeroing out container weights, enhancing efficiency. Overall, digital weighing balances contribute significantly to construction projects by facilitating accurate material measurements, maintaining quality standards, and optimising resource management.

Features

Features of Digital Weighing Balance

  • Digital Display with clear and precise weight measurements.
  • Load cells are utilise in measuring weight which convert force into an electrical signal.
  • Digital weighing balances often have a tare function, which allows the user to zero out the weight of containers or other items placed on the balance. This ensures that only the weight of the material being measured is taken into account, improving accuracy.
  • Higher accuracy of measuring weight which is crucial in construction where even small variations in material quantities can affect the integrity and quality of the structure.
  • High durability which helps withstand the conditions of construction.

Test Procedure

  1. Environment Check: Make sure the environment is stable without any vibrations or drafts, with the temperature within the specified range.
  2. Power On and Warm-up: Switch on the balance and let it warm up as recommended by the manufacturer.
  3. Zero Adjustment: Press the tare or zero button to ensure the balance reads zero when empty. Clean the weighing pan if needed.
  4. Calibration: The manufacturer’s instruction should be followed in order to calibrate the balance using standard weights. Record the calibration values.
  5. Sensitive Check: Testing the sensitivity of the balance by placing the weight close to its maximum capacity. Ensure the displayed weight matches the expected value.
  6. Linearity Check: Evaluate by placing different weights across the range and verify if the displayed weights match the known value.
  7. Repeatability Check: Weigh the same object multiple times to confirm the readings are consistent.
  8. Operational Check: Test the additional features like tare function and unit conversion, if applicable.
  9. External Influences: Introduce controlled disturbances (like tapping) to ensure the balance stabilises quickly
  10. Documentation: Record test results and any adjustments made during testing.
  11. Maintenance: Follow recommended maintenance procedures, including regular cleaning, to keep the balance in optimal condition.
