Automatic Mortar mixer

Description

Standard: EN 196-1, ASTM C 305, AASHTO T 162, ISO 679

Mortar Mixer (Automatic) NL 3031 X / 006

Product Description

Automatic mortar mixers are machines designed specifically to streamline the mixing process. In construction, mortar is a vital material used for binding bricks, stones, or other building units together. It’s essentially a mixture of cement, sand, and water. Mixing mortar manually can be time-consuming and physically demanding, especially for larger construction projects. That’s where automatic mortar mixers come in. They typically consist of a rotating drum or paddles where the ingredients are loaded. Once the ingredients are added, the mixer automatically rotates or agitates them to ensure thorough blending. This automation saves significant time and effort compared to mixing by hand. This apparatus has specially been designed to prepare cement mortar for strength determination as specified in standard. It can also be used in mixing lime with pozzolanic materials for determination of lime reactivity (as per IS 1727) & for uniform mixing of soils with additives such as lime, cement, etc. New Mortar Mixer comes with built in door for better safety.

Test Procedure

Mortar Mixer (Automatic) NL 3031 X / 006

  1. Preparation: Make sure the Mortar Mixer is placed on a flat surface. Check the power source and ensure its connected and functional. Inspect the Mortar Mixer for any defects before use.
  2. Ingredient Management: Measure the appropriate amount of dry mortar mix and water as per the manufacturer’s instructions before loading the dry mix and water into the mixing drum of the mortar mixer.
  3. Loading: Open the mixer’s access point, whether it’s a hinged lid or a tilting drum, and carefully pour in the measured ingredients in the recommended sequence, typically starting with sand, followed by cement, and then water. Once all the ingredients are added, ensure the access point is securely closed to avoid any spillage while the mixing process is underway.
  4. Setting Parameters: Set the desired mixing parameters on the mixer’s control, such as mixing speed, duration and other relevant setting.
  5. Mixing: Commence mixing following the guidelines provided by the manufacturer. Keep a close eye on the blending process to confirm that all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated and that the mixer functions without issues. If needed, modify the mixing settings to attain the desired texture and uniformity in the mortar mixture.
  6. Sampling: Throughout the mixing process, intermittently collect mortar samples to evaluate its consistency, workability, and other characteristics. Conduct necessary assessments on these samples, including slump tests or compressive strength tests, to gauge the mortar’s quality and suitability for the intended application.
  7. Completion: After finishing the mixing, halt the mixer when the mortar achieves the desired texture. Unfasten the loading mechanism and extract the blended mortar from the mixer. Thoroughly cleanse the mixer to prevent any contamination and ensure its optimal performance for subsequent use.
  8. Documnetation: Document all aspects of the mixing procedure, such as the ingredients employed, mixing settings applied, test outcomes, and any observations or modifications enacted during the process. Maintain comprehensive records to facilitate quality assurance, project documentation, and reference purposes in the future.
  9. Safety Precautions: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines outlined by the manufacturer and applicable regulations consistently throughout the testing process. Verify that all individuals participating in the testing are adequately trained in the safe utilization of the mortar mixer and associated machinery.

Mortar Mixer 5L (Automatic,Touch Screen) NL 3031 X / 007

  2. Safety Precaution: Make sure you’re geared up with gloves, goggles, and ear protection, and get acquainted with the automatic mixer’s emergency shutdown process.
  3. Touch Screen Calibration: If required, calibrate the touch screen interface according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  4. Power On and Initialization: Switch on the power of the Mortar Mixer and ensure that the mixer initialise and reach the standby mode.
  5. Setting Parameters: Utilise the touch screen to adjust the settings, mixing duration, velocity, and other necessary configurations based on the mortar mix specifications.
  6. Loading Ingredients: Measure the appropriate amount of dry mortar mix and water as per the manufacturer’s instructions before loading the dry mix and water into the mixing drum of the mortar mixer.
  7. Starting the Mixing Process: Start the mixixng process using the touch screen interface. Keep an eye on the mixing process, ensuring that the mixer runs seamlessly and adheres to the predefined parameters.
  8. Quality Check: Pause the mixer as required to assess the mortar mixture for uniformity, proper hydration, and absence of lumps.  Make adjustments to parameter or settings via the touch screen interface if the mixture requires refinement.
  9. Completion and Shutdown: Once the mixing process is complete, stop the mixer through the touch screen interface. Allow the mixer to come to a complete stop before proceeding.
  10. Cleaning and Maintainence: Switch off the mortar mixer and disconnect it from the power supply. Thoroughly clean the mixing drum to eliminate any remaining mortar residue. Conduct routine maintenance procedures as advised by the manufacturer.
  11. Documentation: Keep a detailed record of all parameters, configurations, and observations made throughout the testing process. Note down any problems encountered and notify the relevant individuals for further assessment and resolution.
  12. Final Inspection: Conduct a final inspection to ensure that the mixer meets operational standards and ready for use.

Mortar Mixer, 10 Litres, High Speed NL 3032 X / 001

  1. Preparation: Start by accurately measuring the required quantities of dry materials, such as cement, mortar, or grout, and any liquid additives like water or bonding agents. Ensure the mixer is clean and ready for use.
  2. Loading: Carefully load the measured dry materials into the mixing drum of the mortar mixer. Add the liquid additives according to the predetermined mix ratio, ensuring thorough incorporation with the dry ingredients.
  3. Mixing: Once the materials are loaded, securely close the mixing drum lid. Start the mixer and operate it at the specified high-speed setting. Allow the mixer to run for the designated mixing duration, ensuring thorough blending and a uniform mixture.
  4. Monitoring: Throughout the mixing process, periodically check the consistency and uniformity of the mixture. Visually inspect for even distribution and absence of clumps or unmixed material.
  5. Completion: Stop the mixer when the mixing duration is complete or when a uniform mixture is achieved. Open the mixing drum carefully and inspect the mixture to confirm its uniformity and consistency.
  6. Testing (Optional): If needed, take samples for further testing or analysis. This may include assessing compressive strength or conducting slump tests to evaluate workability.
  7. Cleaning: After use, thoroughly clean the mixer to remove any remaining material and prevent cross-contamination. Ensure all residues are removed from the mixing drum and associated components.
